Below-grade insulation

With up to 50 percent of a building’s total heat loss occurring at the perimeter and slab of the foundation, below-grade insulation is crucial to achieving energy efficiency. Below-Grade EPS Insulation is a proven and effective method of conserving heat energy in cold climates and air conditioning energy in warm climates.

EPS’s high R-Value, termite resistance, protection against backfill and expansive soils makes it the preferred below-grade insulation among contractors, architects and homeowners.

Types of Below-Grade Insulation

Foam-Control® Below-Grade Insulation: Plain (unfaced) insulation. Available in a variety of sizes.

Polar-R® Below-Grade Insulation: Film and foil faced EPS for superior moisture resistance and protection against backfill. Available in 4' x 8' sheets.

Polar Fold® Protection Board: Film and foil faced EPS for superior moisture resistance and protection against backfill. Available in 4’ x 50’ fan fold sheets.

Radiant Floor Panels:  A modular board insulation, vapor barrier and radiant tube holding grid that allows for installation of hydronic radiant floor heating systems in basements, garages, main floor slab on grade and above grade installations where concrete or gypcrete is normally used.
